Personal Statement
Dong Xie, associate professor, master's degree, PhD supervisor and postdoctoral co-supervisor of Tongji University School of Medicine, administrative deputy director and chief physician of Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital affiliated with Tongji University. He has visited Mayo Clinic Hospital for thoracic surgery in the United States.
Dr. Xie has been engaged in the precision surgical treatment of thoracic tumors and the standardized training and promotion of minimally invasive thoracoscopic techniques at both China and abroad for a long time. He has also participated in the writing of many thoracic surgical consensus, and has promoted the establishment of thoracic surgical diagnostic and treatment standards in China.
He has presided over 14 vertical research projects, including one national-level project and three provincial and ministerial-level projects, and has been granted more than 3 million RMB in personal grants. Dr. Xie has published more than 130 SCI articles, including the international top journals in the field of cardiothoracic surgery, such as Journal of Thoracic Oncology, Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, European Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery. Furthermore, he is the chief editor of Progress in Neoadjuvant Therapy of Lung Cancer (National Key Publication Planning Project of the 14th Five-Year Plan), Don't Be Alarmed When Encountering Frosted Glass Nodules, and Lung Oncology.
